YEAR 3 AT HOME

During the school closure, our Year 3 children are keeping the good work at home!

Tuesday 19th January:
​
Adam, Rizwaan and Ahmed all made their own Shaduf for their History work.
They learnt that a Shaduf is an important invention to the Ancient Egyptians. It was designed to scoop water from the river and move it so that it could be sprinkled on the land where crops were growing.

Thursday 14th January:
​Ismail H wrote a playscript independently.
Ismail you are a superstar! What a fantastic play script. You have used all the appropriate features including stage directions, well done. 3***"

​Livia is working hard at her DT work.
She wrote "DT- I chose white, sliced bread to make my favourite, a tuna sandwich".
​Mrs Price said, "Mmmmm I love a tuna sandwich too Livia. Great to see you adding cucumber too to make it super healthy, well done! 2**"

Ivy designed a scrumptious club sandwich as part of her DT work.
Mrs Price said " ​Mmmmm Ivy, a club sandwich is one of my favourite sandwiches. A super design and well done for considering health and safety points like washing your hands. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos :) 3***

Noah made some delicious Gingerbread for his Stone Age project and called it Gingerbread Stone Age Cave and Fire.

Monday 11th January:
Livia writes: "Stone Age Project - I worked on this project over Christmas. I started by drawing my idea on paper..." - "I also added a forrest using my oil paints" - "I also added a snowman...because we have winter after all :)" - "I worked with a modelling clay, which I painted after it was dry."
