Sunday 26th April would have been The London Marathon where thousands of people run 26 miles around the streets of London.
Due to Covid-19 this well known event has had to be cancelled.
With thousands of people disappointed they can no longer participate in this event, the 2.6 challenge was created and loads of famous celebrities are participating. The idea is that you choose a challenge, any challenge at all, related to 2.6 or 26 (the number of miles in a marathon, or the date the event would have taken place).
So, I am challenging everyone at St Martin's (I have already asked all your teachers & teaching assistants) to participate in our own St Martin's twopointsixchallenge and become Home Heroes.
Some Ideas include:
I would like you to try and come up with a twopointsixchallenge and complete it yourself, or with the help of your family. Please make sure you keep yourself safe while taking part.
This challenge will run for the whole of this week and I can’t wait to hear/see all your fun, creative, active, wacky ways of completing this challenge. So please share them with me and your teachers on BGfL and you might get yourself here, on the school website as well.
You may do this challenge once or you can choose to do it several times during the week. It is up to you!
For more information about the twopointsixchallenge please have a look at their website https://www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk/ or google twopointsixchallenge.
I look forward to hearing and seeing all your challenges

Year 5 Aamna's superb display of Origami.
She says: I did the 2.6 challenge by creating 26 pieces of origami. I made a scene and it is called ‘Attack of the monsters.’
