Message from our Head Teachers, 23rd April 2021: Just a reminder to park safely around school. Please DO park away from school and walk down to the gate to collect your children. This will ensure safety for all of our children, yourselves and the public. We will do our best to patrol as much as possible at the end of the school day.
Courtesy to local residents Zig-zag lines on the roads outside school are there for the safety of our children and families.
Local traffic enforcement officers are often in the area and it is an offence to park on these marked areas. We also ask that you are all courteous and considerate of our local residents when dropping off and collecting children from school – please do not use residents’ drives for making u-turns or block access to their homes. We have been advised that while Oakland’s Nursing Home is being demolished over the next few weeks, disruption will be kept to a minimum, however please be extra vigilant during this time.

A small number of parents are putting lives at risk by parking on the zig-zag lines. This is always a case of convenience for the adult being placed above the safety of the child. Whatever your reason, please stop yourself from parking on the zig-zag lines and help keep our children safe.
Message from the Head Teacher, 12th April 2019: Sadly, two cars are putting our children’s lives at risk by parking on the yellow zigzag lines outside school. We do talk to drivers every time we are made aware of this happening, so please let us know if you see it.
Message from a teacher, 16th November 2018: Unfortunately, the car parking outside of school in the morning does not seem to be improving. Sometimes cars block the school gates or cars parked on either side of Oakland Road block the view of Forest Road which makes it increasingly dangerous to turn into Forest Road.

Message from the Head Teacher, 12th October 2018: I appreciate that we lead busy lives but please arrive in plenty of time and park away from the school. This week, I heard about a blind person who was forced to walk in the road and was at risk because our parents were parked partly on the pavement.
