Finlay, Year 4, has also been making his own bow, doing some serious artwork and painting in the garden:
He says:
I made a bow and arrow by taking an ash tree because it is straight and traditionally used to make bow and arrow. Firstly, I striped all of the bark and washed all of the sticky sap off and let it dry. Secondly, I took a long piece of string bent the bow and tied tightly so it made tension and then made an arrow out of a branch.
